National Reconciliation Week 2022
24 May

27 May – 3 June 2022

This year, 2022, the National Reconciliation Week (NRW) falls during 27 May – 3 June and we at Globalnet Solutions Australia support and promote the 2022 NRW with undiminished enthusiasm and commitment.

Hundreds of NRW events are held each year. Events listing for NRW 2022 can be seen on the events page.

What is National Reconciliation Week?

National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

The dates for NRW remain the same each year; 27 May to 3 June. These dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey— the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision respectively.

Today, National Reconciliation Week is celebrated in workplaces, schools and early learning services, community organisations and groups, and by individuals Australia-wide and Globalnet Solutions also joins hands with them.

The NRW’s theme for the year 2022 is “Be Brave. Make Change”

‘’Be Brave. Make Change’’ encourages all of to face the challenge of being brave and tackle the unfinished business of reconciliation so we can Make Change for all.

Globalnet Solutions’ commitment towards NRW

Last year, GSA created a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) named ‘Reflect’ in order to help formalise the process towards engaging more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and businesses, in partnership with Yarrunup, an Aboriginal organisation that has direct links with the community and has taken the initiative to listen and understand their needs and opinions when committing to reconciliation. Reflect was officially endorsed by the Reconciliation Australia. Learn more about our Reflect.

2022 Actions you can take to manifest the dream of NRW

Reconciliation must live in every fabric of all the Australians and each one of us should strive to contribute towards building a nation strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

It is vital to understand that each one of us has a role to play in making reconciliation a reality and by playing our part sincerely we can collectively build relationships and communities that value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and futures.

Change is possible only with brave actions in your daily life – where you live, work, play and socialise.
